What data we collect
Account data
Your email, your password (stored only as a secure hash), your handle, your country, your age confirmation and your settings.
Creator verification data
For creators: a photo of your government ID, a live selfie, your legal name and date of birth as shown on the ID, and the result of the check. For co-performers: their signed release, a copy of their ID and their date of birth.
Payment and payout data
For fans: what you bought, when, the amount and the payment status. Card or wallet details are handled by our payment processors, and we receive only a reference and limited details such as the card type and last digits.
For creators: your balance, earnings history, payout method, bank details or crypto wallet address, and any tax information the law requires.
Content and messages
What you upload, post and send, including messages, captions and notes with tips. We create technical data from uploads, such as file hashes, blurred previews and watermarks.
Usage and security data
Your IP address, device and browser type, sign in times, the pages you use, reports you file or receive and logs of actions by agency team seats.
Support data
What you write to [email protected] and our replies.
Why we use your data and our legal bases
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Create and run your account | account data, usage data | performance of our contract with you |
| Verify creator identity and age, keep co-performer records | verification data | legal obligation, and our legitimate interest in keeping minors and non consenting people off Fansti |
| Process fan payments and pay creators | payment and payout data | performance of contract, legal obligation (tax and accounting) |
| Deliver content and messages | content and messages | performance of contract |
| Check uploads against hash lists of known abuse material and review reports | content, usage data | legal obligation, legitimate interest in safety |
| Prevent fraud, chargebacks and abuse, secure the site | usage and security data, payment data | legitimate interest, legal obligation |
| Answer support requests, complaints and legal notices | support data | performance of contract, legitimate interest, legal obligation |
| Send service emails (codes, receipts, payout notices, policy changes) | account data | performance of contract |
| Report illegal content to the authorities | relevant content and account data | legal obligation |
Where we rely on legitimate interest, we have weighed it against your rights. You can object, as explained below. We do not use your data for automated decisions that have legal effects on you without human review. Uploads flagged by hash checks are held and reviewed by a person.
Who receives your data
We share data only with recipients who need it to run Fansti, and only what they need.
- Payment processors for cards and crypto, to take fan payments and send creator payouts
- An identity verification provider, to check creator ID and selfie
- A hosting and storage provider in the EU or US, to store the site, content and backups
- An email delivery provider, to send codes, receipts and notices
- Services that match file hashes against known abuse material, to keep that material off Fansti
- Professional advisers, such as accountants and lawyers, under a duty of confidence
- Authorities, courts and law enforcement, when the law requires it or to report illegal content
Agencies see the data of creators who accepted their invitation, within the role of each team seat. Fans see only a creator's handle and public page. Creators see a fan's handle, messages and purchases from that creator, never the fan's email or card details.
Each provider works under a contract that limits use of the data to our instructions and requires security measures.
Transfers outside your country
Some recipients may process data outside the European Economic Area or outside your country. When that happens, we use safeguards the law accepts, such as standard contractual clauses, and we choose providers with strong security.
How long we keep data
- Account data, while your account is open, and then for a short period to handle closing, disputes and fraud checks
- Creator ID, verification and co-performer records, for as long as the law on record keeping requires, including after content is removed or the account is closed
- Payment, payout and tax records, for as long as tax and accounting law requires
- Content, until you delete it or your account is closed, plus a short time for backups to expire, unless we must keep it for a legal hold or a report to the authorities
- Security logs, for a limited time needed to protect the site and look into abuse
- Support emails, for as long as needed to handle the request and any follow up
When a retention period ends, we delete the data or make it anonymous.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, receive it in a portable format, object to its use based on legitimate interest and withdraw any consent you gave.
To use a right, write to [email protected] from the email on your account. We answer within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first. Some data cannot be deleted while the law requires us to keep it, such as verification and payment records. When that is the case, we tell you.
You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live or work.
How we protect data
We encrypt connections to the site, store passwords only as hashes, limit staff access to verification data, keep paid media behind signed links and log access to sensitive records. Creator tools such as handle only pages, geo blocks by country and watermarks help protect creators further, as explained on our safety page.
Adults only
Fansti is only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we close the account and delete the data, except what we must keep to report to the authorities.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the law change, and we post the new version here with its date. For important changes, we tell account holders by email or in the panel.
